Oleksiy Palchykov was born in 1986 in Kiev.

He grew up in musical family: his mother is a conductor of children's choir and his father is a trumpet player in orchestra of National Ensemble of Dance named after Virskiy.

His musical studies began at the age of 7 in Specialized Music School of Kiev where he sung in the choir and later chose trumpet as his main instrument. In 2004 he recieved First Prize in «Art of XXI century» International Competition as a singer and the same year started his studies in the National Musical Tchaikovskiy Academy. He made his debut in 2008 singing the roles of Lenskiy in Eugeny Onegin (Tchaïkovski) at the National Shevchenko Opera House. After he was invited to sing Lykov in The Tzar’s Bride (Rimskiy-Korsakov) with the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet, M.Dzhalil Theatre (Kazan, Russia) and the Shaliapin festival of Opera Singers. 

 In 2010, he received the Grand Prix at the XVI International Lydia Abramova Vocal Student’s Competition «Bella voce» (Moscow, Russia), the Grand Prix for the best Tchaikovskiy music performance in the National Tchaikovskiy Musical Academy Vocal Faculty Competition, the Special Award of the festival "Tournament of Tenors" (Szczecin, Poland), the Special Prize of the Jury at the International Vocal Competition "Debut" (Weikersheim, Germany), in 2011, the Grand Prix International Vocal Competition Ivana Alchevskogo" Alchevskiy Debut ” (Kharkov, Ukraine).He was a finalist at the International Vocal Competition in the Opera Festival in Savonlinna (Finland) .


In October 2012, he joined the Atelier Lyrique of the Opéra National de Paris. He sang the roles of Gernando (L’Isola disabitata,Haydn) at La Ferme du Buisson (Noisiel) and Théâtre Firmin Gémier / La Piscine (Chatenay-Malabry) and Ecclitico(Il Mondo della luna, Haydn) in the MC93 Bobigny.He made his debut on the main stage at the Opéra National de Paris singing the roles of the Messenger (Aida, October 2013), and Scaramuccio (Ariadne auf Naxos). With Atelier Lyrique he has performed The Male Chorus (The Rape of Lucretia) at the Théâtre de l’Athénée, Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) in Bobigny, Pylade (Iphigénie en Tauride) and Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte) in Créteil.

In 2014 he received the "Prix Lyrique du Carpeaux" and "Prix Lyrique de L'AROP”.

  In the Summer of 2015 he was among the 5 finalists of the prestigious "BBC Singer Of World" singers competition. 

In October 2015 he covered Roberto Alagna in the role of Nemorino at Opéra Bastille. 


In 2017 he got proposition from Delphian Records to make recordings of Medtner songs with Iain Burndside at the piano, and later performed  some of them in Wigmore Hall in Russian Series concert.

From May 2017 he is member of Hamburger Staatsoper where he is performing roles such as Tamino, Ferrando, Lenski, Nemorino, Almaviva, Cassio, Belmonte, Don Ottavio, Kudryash, Fenton, Edgardo,

Paris / La Belle Helene and many others.
