"The singers were also so committed that it is hard to know whether the singing or the acting should be praised first. This is especially true of Oleksiy Palchykov as Catullus, who I have never seen so well in his role. Athletically trained, he literally threw himself into the role."

OPERA MAGAZINE
Palchykov's Ottavio, whose forceful, virile approach to the character's music was supported by a very solid technique: singing the long florid phrases of 'II mio tesoro' in one breath is already quite remarkable; doing so without scaling down the volume and whitening' the tone for ease of manoeuvre is a rare technical feat, here put at the service of convincing characterization.
